Service Disruption: Monday July 31 7:00pm ET until Wednesday August 2 7:00pm ET
Regular bitcoin sends are temporarily offline for about 48 hours.
The Bitcoin network may experience a potential network disruption on August 1st, 2017. A small portion of the Bitcoin community may support a chain split called Bitcoin Cash (BCC), an alternative cryptocurrency to Bitcoin (BTC). Currently, coincafe has no plans to support Bitcoin Cash.
To better maintain the integrity of customer funds, we are suspending normal bitcoin sending and receiving during this time. Funds received during this time will be credited once the blockchain stabilizes.
Users will be unable to send and receive BTC from their accounts, and this suspension may last up to 48 hours. Buying and selling BTC will resume as normal and will be unaffected during this time. This means that your funds stored on coincafe will be safe, however, you will not be able to engage in BTC transactions for a limited period of time. If you need to send Bitcoin during this time, please contact customer service.
ATM buy orders at our Bitcoin ATM locations are unaffected. ATM sell orders will have an additional delay of at least 5 hours.
We will keep you updated on any changes and will resume all transactions once the Bitcoin network has stabilized. Customer accounts will resume as normal once it is safe to use the network.
If you have any questions, please contact coincafe customer support at email@example.com.
